Artist: Mikisa, 13 years, Ugandan. Mikisa knew how to draw ever since she knew how to write.
Community work is a contemporary painting by Mikisa. She started to focus on drawing when she was 10 years old. She likes to draw nature, people, and the sunset. She believes that everyone can draw as long as they can express themselves. Art is not only for males but equally for females to compete. Her artwork continues to be inspired by the work in the community. During the lockdown, people worked in communities to address their issues and its depicted in her work. Faith advises fellow children to follow their dreams and go for them but never let negative people stop them. If you lost today, this does not mean you are a failure. Next time, you will do better.
