“Stepmothers” is a story that revolves around the life of a 12-year-old girl obsessed with barely the concealed pain of losing her biological mother that manifests as indifference towards her loving and caring stepmother. Written by Sandra, a 13-year-old winner of the Reminac Comics Writing Competition from Firm Foundation Primary School, the story takes a tragic turn from motherly love towards issues of extreme child abuse, sadistic cruelty that brings forth a realization that forever changes the young girl’s understanding of motherly love.
