ARTISTIC Denim Kimono, Gorilla 1

The ARTISTIC Denim Kimono is cut from durable denim in one easy, unisex shape that sits the same on every body. It wears open at the front, with the weight to hold its line and soften as you wear it.

The design sits on the two front lower pockets, each printed with a design inspired by an original painting by a child in our programme, here Gorilla 1 by Faustine. Patterned African ribbon finishes the edges; ribbon colour may vary. Machine washable, do not bleach.

The artwork: The mountain gorilla is one of Uganda's greatest treasures. Powerful yet gentle, it reminds me that true strength is not about fear; it is about confidence, patience, and protecting those around us. As I painted this silverback, I imagined the forests where these magnificent animals live and how important it is to protect them for future generations. This painting is part of a series called Uganda Postage. It celebrates the amazing wildlife in Uganda that everyone who visits our country enjoys. I hope it helps people see how beautiful Uganda is. Just as wildlife deserves protection, I believe every child's dreams deserve the chance to grow.
