What I find interesting about chimpanzees is that they all have different personalities. Some are bold and curious, while others are quiet and observant. But what inspires me most is how young chimpanzees learn by watching the adults around them. Knowledge is passed from one generation to another, just as it is with people. That is what inspired me to paint this chimpanzee as part of the Uganda Postage Series. It reminds me that we all learn from the people who come before us. As you look at this artwork, I hope it reminds you to value what you learn and to think about what you will pass on to others.
