Nabulime is an 18-year-old multimedia artist. Her artworks seek to echo the life and struggles of young girls to engage the audience in examining the silenced world of teenage girls. While she uses a variety of materials and processes in each art piece, her methodology is consistent. This work explores a young girl with extreme self-worth with flowers blossoming all over her.

She has no grand illusions that art will create a revolution in the traditional sense, but she has witnessed the powerful changes it can make in an individual. Just one new idea can change a person’s perception. Creating art isn’t just an occupation to her; it’s a passion she enjoys bringing life to the canvas with vibrant colours and finding new ways to make people see things.

Visiting water bodies is one of my favorite things. The sound and the environment around the waterfalls are so nice. I do remember during our school year, we visited Bujagalj falls found on River Nile, Jinja and this artwork is a picture of one fall that I remember. – Najjuma

In this artwork, I painted my parents returning from work. Whenever my father is done with his work, he usually goes to pick my mother at her workplace and they return together. By evening, we are always looking through the windows to see if they are on their way. When we see them, we are always excited especially when they come carrying something in their hands  – Dakira
